I have a friend does he like me?

okay so i have this friend who treats me differently than his other friends that are girls. always doing favors and sitting next to me and inviting himself along places. also he gets slightly irritated when i hang out with other guys. he also says things like "i wish i knew you better" and "we should definitely get to know eachother better" and asked me to teach him to make a quilt. he also asks me who from school ive been talking to on im. but he has never said "i like you". which is weird bc i thought that if a guy liked a girl he would make it happen. also he has gotten his friends to ask me what i think of him. please help
