Is Vaseline good for dogs? (she didn't ingest it)?

This week it's been really cold outside. I have a 4-5 yr old Labradoodle. When she goes outside she doesn't wear booties. Just a jacket. I've noticed that her pads are a little cracked. Would Vaseline work to put a little moisture on her pads?
