Sure it is okay to initiate conversations with girls. Talk to them just like you would your guy friends just be respectful. Try talking about what you like an why and ask them questions to find out more about them. Once you know more things you can see if it is worth trying to have a relationship or just be friends. Talk about your favorite foods, color, clothing, dreams, future, world government etc. She may even be into sports, weather or even the law.
